About me
As an applied mathematician, I am interested in solving problems in research and development. My aim is to contribute to an increased and accelerated knowledge transfer between science and industry.
Currently, I work in the industry as a Specialist Machine Data Analysis, where I leverage my expertise to extract insights and drive actionable outcomes from complex and big datasets. Concurrently, I am continuing my research projects for my habilitation as a Habilitation Candidate at the University of Greifswald.
I enjoy working on real-life questions, where I integrate approaches from mathematics, statistics and machine learning to analyze data or characterize and improve methods. My scope of work encompasses clinical and health services research, epidemiology, and public health on one side, and condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in mechanical engineering on the other side.
I am deeply honored to be selected as a participant in the Mentoring Program for Postdoctoral Researchers and Junior Professors at the University of Greifswald. This program presents an invaluable opportunity for me to refine my professional skills while enhancing my career prospects. I am genuinely appreciative of the comprehensive support provided through mentoring relationships, seminars, networking, and coaching, all of which contribute to my professional development journey at the edge of science and industry.
Recent research topics:
- statistical modeling, risk estimation, prediction and attribution
- time series analysis
- mathematical modeling in biology
- high performance computing to assess the performance of mathematical and statistical models in application
How can I help you?
During my eight years working in medical biostatistics/biometrics, I gained experience in advising and supporting clinical studies and enjoyed the close collaboration with the various disciplines and the diverse issues in clinical research. As long as my schedule allows it, I am happy to support you with consulting, supervision or practical support for study planning (observational & interventional), ethics applications, sample size calculation, data analysis and interpretation.
You are most welcome to contact me in case you have a mathematical or statistical issue that you would like to discuss!
