Workshop "Algebraic and Analytic Aspects of Quantum Lévy Processes"

9. bis 13. March 2015 at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg in Greifswald

ORGANIZERS:Uwe Franz, Volkmar Liebscher, Michael Schürmann

In this workshop we want to discuss recent progress and open problems related to Quantum Lèvy processes, i.e. quantum stochastic processes with stationary and independent increments. Central topics will be:

  • Lévy processes on algebraic structures
  • Classi cation of noncommutative independence and corresponding Lévy processes
  • Lévy processes with category theory
  • Lévy processes and product systems
  • Lévy processes under the transformation of the coproduct
  • Analytic theory of quantum Lévy processes
  • Markov semigroups of Lévy processes on compact quantum groups, their Dirichlet forms, and their potential theory
  • Relations to random matrix theory
